OUR
STORY
With diversified fishing opportunities, from mountain streams and lakes to aired high desert river flows, Wyoming Women Anglers would like to share a meaningful and enriching experience in the beautiful Upper North Platte River Valley.
Jane and Merry became quick friends after a day of fishing. Jane originated the idea of forming WWA as a way to introduce other women into fly fishing by offering local fly fishing seminars.
Jane invited her fishing friend and local guide, Merry Waugh to help with the seminar. After the success of the first seminar the two women formed a partnership that has expanded the scope of Wyoming Women Anglers. Their goal together is to get you on the water with confidence and have fun while doing it.

Merry Waugh - Lead Guide/Partner
"Sports and the outdoors have been my life. Flyfishing is both the passion and addiction that has brought me to where I am today."
The headwaters of the North Platte and Encampment River is where Merry began her guiding career in 1994. Through the years, guiding has led her on to experience Northern Colorado and Southern Baja. Her goal is to share the sport of flyfishing to people of all skill levels.
Jane Pratte - Guide/Partner
Jane began her venture into fly fishing following a 25 year career in the Oil and Gas Industry. Always loving the outdoors, her geology degree gives her insights into the rivers movements, its ebb and flow through the season’s changes from runoff to low flow. Her passion is bringing new women to the sport, teaching the skills necessary to present the fly to the unsuspecting fish.
